The Event Caterer that cares!
AJ Event Catering is an exciting new company – owned by Adam George & Josh Dykes – which takes outdoor event catering to a whole new level.
The catering business was originally formed 4 years ago by Josh who
noticed most events he attended lacked quality food and also a variety
of choice. As a result, he bought a catering unit and using a secret
Italian recipe and carefully selected produce he created ‘Pasta Pod’.Pasta Pod offers a healthier option of quality Pasta accompanied by fresh homemade sauces and toppings at events. It soon became apparent that there was a massive demand for quality catering at events so Josh had to quickly extend his product range and offerings to keep up with the demands of his customers. Pasta Pod was soon joined by ‘Pulled Pork Pod’ and ‘The Food Pod’ continuing to stick to the ethos of the business of offering quality, good value catering.
As the businesses continued to grow it became very difficult for Josh to manage the whole business on his own and as a result Adam came onboard. This was a massive asset to the company and enabled us to offer a better and more diverse range of services to our clients which has allowed us to take event catering to a whole new level. To reflect this we have recently rebranded the whole company to compact all our brands and service under one umbrella – AJ Event Catering.
Adam has been working in the event industry his entire adult life. During school he formed InHouse Entertainments which later was rebranded to InHouse Ents. With a client base including Tesco, Unilever, Mercedes Benz, BMW to name a few, along with hundreds of private clients Adam has delivered and managed on average around 500 events per year.
Josh has worked in the Hospitality and events Industry since he was 14.During his time at college Josh started and grew to run the biggest college student events in UK. Josh is very passionate about helping his local community and as a result he took over running his local football club’s football festival and in the first year doubled the size of the event with over 8000 people attending. As stated above Josh has now gone on to run and grow a successful event catering business for the past 4 years as well as most recently running his own pub and hotel.
